Meet The Artist
Hi, I’m Delaney!
I am a licensed Cosmetologist, Tattoo Artist, Certified Eyelash Extension Artist, Certified Microneedling and Certified Dermaplaning. I entered Cosmetology school knowing I wanted a career in the beauty industry. I started as a hair assistant thinking I would follow the path of hair stylist/colorist. After graduating and working at a high end salon, I was searching for something a little different and outside of the norm. I discovered Microblading and fell in love with this corrective process. I got trained and certified in Microblading and started my business. Since then i have become certified in Eyelash Extensions (classic and volume) and in Microneedling and Dermaplaning. I absolutely love helping my clients look and feel their best. Being my own boss gives me the constant motivation to improve my skills by continuing to train in new fields with new techniques. I am so excited to say that I will be adding additional services in the near future. I love my clients and this ever changing industry!

FAQ
Hairstroke eyebrows heal best on normal to dry skin types.
Hairstrokes may not work well on clients with very oily skin, large pores or thin skin types or previous permanent cosmetics tattoos. On those with oily skin types and larger pores, results may appear softer and powdery.
Clients who want a more defined or “made up” looking brow may be happier choosing to have the shading done as well as the strokes! (this can be discussed at your initial appointment).
Clients with thin skin or Rosacea cannot receive hairstroke brows. The hairstroke method is designed to blend with your natural brow hair, the more hair you have the more realistic results will appear.
If you have very little or sparse eyebrow hair results will appear flatter, and it is possible that you may need more than two sessions to achieve your desired result.
Hairstroke brows are NOT meant to entirely replace makeup. Eyebrow pencils and powders may still be needed.
You cannot receive permanent cosmetics if you:
- Are pregnant
- Are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the past year
- Have a freshly tanned/sunburned face
- Are on blood thinning medications or antibiotics
- Have Rosacea
- Are currently undergoing cancer treatment
- Must be off Chemo or Radiation for 6 months
NO Nos prior to procedure! Read before booking!
- No waxing, laser, electrolysis, facials or face procedures of ANY kind one week prior to procedure.
- NO botox or fillers 2 weeks prior to procedure
- No ibuprofen, aspirin, caffeine or alcohol 24 hours prior to procedure. This is a must!
- Discontinue use of AHA skin care products one week prior to procedure
- Discontinue use of Retinol/Retin A/Tretinoin skin care products for two weeks prior and two weeks after procedure.
- Oily Skin: Increased oil production can cause hairstrokes to blur and heal lighter and powdery.
- Smoking: Smokers may notice that their Permanent Cosmetics will fade faster
- Anemia and iron deficiency: Your body will absorb these iron based pigments more quickly.
- Sun exposure: Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading. You will want to use a special sunscreen for your Permanent Cosmetics; you can find some on Amazon.
- Age and metabolism: The Faster your metabolism the faster the pigment will fade.
- Bleeding during the procedure: Excessive bleeding during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important that you follow before care instructions to help minimize bleeding. This includes avoiding blood thinning medications, alcohol, and caffeine 24 hours before your procedure.
If you’ve had PMU done before, I require clients to send me up close and full face pictures in natural sunlight of your previous work and I will do my best to give you advise on whether you need removal or can book an appointment with me. No matter how faded you think they are you MUST send me photos before your appointment or else you will need to reschedule your appointment and forfeit your deposit. However some corrections require combo brows or more then two sessions for the best results. Any NEW client will pay the NEW client price, do not book a touch up unless you have previously been tattooed by me.
How long does Brow procedure take: Please allow a full two hours for your Initial appt. this allows time for a consult, paperwork and numbing crème, drawing of the perfect shape and microblading procedure. Please arrive few minutes early. .Follow up sessions take 1-1.5 hours
It varies Client to Client. I use a numbing crème. Some clients find it slightly painful while others barely feel it. It depends on your skin sensitivity. Most describe it as more of an annoying scratching sensation.
Brows- I look at your hair color, current eyebrow color (if you have them) skin color and mix pigment accordingly. I also ask you many questions prior to procedure to help determine. I have a wide array of colors to choose from and mix. Lips – I look at your skin undertones.
There are several Phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. Day two is sometimes hard, this is normal. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin. Once the healing of the skin starts to take place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. You may get the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. (If you start to scab – DO NOT PICK AT THEM – just let them heal…your healing time could be extended. Scabbing sometimes happens however it is not a desired outcome and may be due to skin typing.) Once completely healed, I advise always applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Not an excessively oily sunscreen as if your skin type is on the oilier side this could push the pigment out.
The day of Procedure DAY 1: ABSORB: IF you see excess lymph fluid coming from brows (yellowish/clear discharge) – Gently BLOT the area with a clean tissue (sterile cotton round) to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 15 mins or so until the oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids. Wash brows 4 hours after procedure with brow wash.
Days 1-10: WASH Wash Brows daily to remove bacteria, build up of products and oils, and dead skin. (don’t worry this does not remove pigment) Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night using just your clean fingertips with a very light touch wiping in the direction of your hair growth with brow wash (look in mirror while washing so you can make sure to be extra gentle). Wipe the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds then rinse with water to remove all the soap. Gently pat dry with a clean towel. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, aha) or exfoliants. Use face shield in the shower to keep brows dry for 10 days.
Days 3-10: MOISTURIZE After wash/dry, apply a rice grain size amount of aftercare lotion with a clean cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Don’t use too much as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The lotion should be barely noticeable on the skin. NEVER put the lotion on while wet/damp.
After Day 10 continue using aftercare once daily until its gone.
Keep OUT of the SUN for full 2 weeks and after that wear a hat. NON-oily sunblock after fully healed. Recommended sunscreen Cannasmack Inkguard spf 30 – can get Amazon.
Avoid for full 2 weeks post procedure:
- Absolutely NO Topical Eyebrow makeup and WEAR sunscreen
- NO Sleeping on the face (use a fresh pillowcase every night)
- NO Sweating
- NO Swimming
- NO Hot sauna, Jacuzzi
- NO Sun tanning or salon tanning for 4 weeks. Wear loose hat if outdoors.
- NO Facial treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retinol, Retin-A, Glycolic Acid, Botox on face for at least 4 weeks (AFTER 4 weeks keep retinol, retinA or any skin antiaging creams/oils/products away from brow area)
- NO Picking, peeling, scrubbing or scratching of the micro-pigmented area
- NO Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
- NO Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles or motorcycles
- NO Touching of the eyebrow area except for when blotting, washing, rinsing and applying aftercare
- Limit time in the shower keep it warm and NOT HOT to avoid steam. Try to keep face out of water as much as possible (wash/rinse your hair quickly at the end of the shower).
There will be a healing PROCESS that is slightly different for everyone. There are several Phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settles in completely. Day 2-4 is sometimes hard, this is normal. Scabbing sometimes happens however it is not a desired outcome and may be due to skin typing.) Once completely healed, I advise applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun… NOT an excessively oily sunscreen as if your skin type is on the oilier side this could push the pigment out. NO eyebrow makeup for 2 weeks minimum!!
**Special Note: NOT everyones hairstrokes heal clean and crisp. Hairstrokes for oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Also, for those who bleed more….may tend to need more touchups as the blood pushes the pigment out while we tattoo.
Day of Treatment After procedure, gently blot the area with clean paper towel to absorb excess lymph fluid . Do this every 30 minutes for the full day until bedtime. This will keep scabbing to a minimum. Do NOT get your lips wet for the first 2 hours. Wait one hour after the procedure before eating and drink liquids with a straw. Intensified color and swelling are part of the initial stages of healing. The color intensity should regress within 3-4 days. Your lips may be swollen and feel similar to having a slight burn. You can apply ice to your lips in 15 minute sessions until bedtime if needed.
Days 1-7 Apply a rice grain sized amount of A&D ointment to your lips 3-5 times a day. Only apply in am and before bed or if your lips are feeling very dry or chapped/tight. DO NOT over apply, as this will suffocate your lips and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on your lips. NEVER put ointment on a wet damp tattoo. Gently splash lips with water after every meal. Keep area clean but do not wash with soap for the first week. Be careful when applying other skincare products…keep OFF lips.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Use fresh pillowcase every night for first week.
Use caution when brushing teeth first week, no toothpaste on lips and be very gentle.
DRINK with a STRAW
Let any scabbing or flaking naturally exfoliate, Picking can cause scarring or loss if color.
AVOID the following:
-hot sweaty exercise for one week
-direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks. Wear a hat when outdoors
-salty, sour, spicy, or Hot (temperature) foods for first week and cut into bite sized pieces
-extremely HOT (temperature) liquids (tea, coffee, soup) for first week
-face down swimming (pools, lakes, hottubs) first week
-lipstick, any cosmetics, moisturizers, tootpaste on lips first week
NO rubbing picking, scratching, biting lips
If you have a history of cold sores you MUST take prescription (Valtrex, acyclovir) prior to procedure and during the healing process as prescribed by a Doctor.
Remember, with the proper prep and aftercare routine you will have much better results.
